“The Night of the Murdered Poets,” when more than a dozen celebrated Soviet
Jewish writers and artists were executed by Stalin on August 12, 1952. Included were writers-poets
David Bergelson, Itsik Feffer, Perets Markish, and Leib Kvitko. For more info
