Just as Klara Rasputnis left Odessa after the Bolshevik Revolution, thousands will now leave Crimea to mainland Ukraine, as previously noted here. Departing will be  Ukrainian military personnel and their families. Klara traveled all across Siberia as told in “Klara’s Journey,” http://amzn.to/13Sp769  a wartime romance and an historical novel about an unforgettable heroine.  “The scope of Klara’s Journey is epic…Frank provides a fast paced adventure packed with vivid scenes and well-researched history….Readers will appreciate Frank’s extensive knowledge of Russian mannerisms and geographic landmarks…” Jeffrey F. And to think that Klara Rasputnis

And to think Klara Rasputnis left Odessa in the Ukraine nearly 100 years ago and traveled through that war-torn country on the verge of Civil War--- then and now,---; traveled to Kiev, a besieged city,--- then and now,--- and went onto Moscow, about to become the capital of the Soviet Union,--In “Klara’s Journey,” (Marion Street Press) an historical novel; much of the story takes place in Ukraine. A political synopsis is provided at the beginning of each chapter, much of it prescient. Wherever books are sold, http://amzn.to/13Sp769   Available on all ebook formats, nook, ipad, Kobo, etc Or stop in--- or order from J Levine Judaica in NYC. http://www.levinejudaica.com/catalog/klaras-journey-novelp-by-ben-frank-p-20910.html

Russia will not escape unscathed economically, politically.

Russia may get away for now with grabbing the Crimea, but it will not escape unscathed economically or politically.  (One can only hope the conflict will not escalate.)  An  administration official indicated that the U.S. was not weighing military action to counter Russia's advances, saying the Obama administration's efforts were focused on political, economic and diplomatic options. “Russian companies and banks with business in the West will suffer as a result of reckless Putin decision,” according to former U.S ambassador to Russia. In the short term, Putin may not care because he feels he can not let Russia see Ukraine move westward. , http://amzn.to/13Sp769   Available on all ebook formats, nook, ipad, Kobo, etc
